Marco Silva

Marco Silva is a Portuguese professional football manager and former player, currently serving as the head coach of Fulham Football Club. Born on 12 July 1977 in Lisbon, Portugal, Silva played as a right-back during his professional career. He represented several Portuguese clubs, most notably Estoril Praia, where he spent the majority of his playing years before retiring in 2011.

Immediately transitioning into management, Silva was appointed head coach of Estoril Praia, where he achieved notable success by guiding the team to promotion to the Primeira Liga and securing a place in European competition. His accomplishments drew attention from larger clubs, leading to managerial roles at Sporting CP, where he won the Portuguese Cup, and Olympiacos, where he secured the Greek Super League title.

Silva’s coaching career expanded to the English Premier League, where he managed Hull City, Watford, and Everton, earning recognition for his tactical adaptability and attacking style of play. In July 2021, he was appointed manager of Fulham. Under his leadership, Fulham achieved promotion to the Premier League in the 2021–2022 season and subsequently established themselves as a competitive side in the top flight.
